FAQs
Is there a trail path along the dunes?
Yes, there sure is. It’s called the Oregon Dunes Loop Trail #1334 and it leads from the parking area to an upper viewing platform. In addition, another portion of the paved trail, which is wheelchair accessible, will take you to a picnic area as well as dunes and a spot featuring terrific ocean views.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you can bring your dog but you must follow certain rules. In picnic areas and on hiking trails, dogs must always be on a leash. You’re responsible for picking up after your dog. And from March 15 through September 15, which is the nesting season for the snowy plover, no dogs are allowed on either wet or dry beach sections.
