Heceta Head LightHouse

Heceta Head Lighthouse is open to the public for tours. You'll get an up-close look at the 56-foot-high tower perched along the rugged Pacific Coast, as well as the historic Keeper's House, which was built in1893. Hike the trail to the lighthouse and stop by the Interpretive Center for historic information or the gift shop for a souvenir. Bring your camera. Heceta Head is one of the most photographed lighthouses on the Oregon Coast.

  • When are tours given?

    You can take a tour of Heceta Head Lighthouse any day of the week from March through October between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Keeper’s House tours are available during the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day) Thursdays through Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Can I drive to the Lighthouse?

    Unfortunately, it is not accessible by vehicle. You can park in the lot at the Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint. From there, you'll follow a one-half mile trail with an elevation of 150 feet to get to the historic structure.
